How to Use Essential Oils for Energy and Recipes
Aromatic essences are concentrated plant liquids. This means that, if you want to avoid side effects, they need to be used in a certain way.
The safest way to use an essential oil for energy is to dilute it. But, it also depends on the way you need or you want to use it.
Sometimes, you find yourself needing a little pick-me-up on the go. What do you do then? You take a whiff out of a roll-on blend, for instance.
What if you have guests and need to finish cleaning up? Then, the best thing to do is to diffuse your oils. That way, they’ll give you the boost you need to get things done. But they will also make the house smell great and inviting.
Thus, you can use your essential oils for energy, alertness, stress and focus as follows:
Massage or topical application.
Mix 3 – 25 drops of a stimulant essential oil in an Oz (30ml) carrier oil. The amount depends on how concentrated you want the fragrance. You should always pick carriers with a neutral smell, so they don’t interfere with your desired fragrance.
Blends can be done in a roll-on bottle, so you can take them with you. It’s great if you want to smell the aromas when you’re not at home.

- Rosemary essential oil: 5 drops
- Grapefruit essential oil: 8 drops
- Sweet Almond oil: 10 ml roll-on bottle
Give the blend a good shake before each use. Apply a small amount on your wrists and inhale deeply for a few minutes. Try to relax and clear your mind of any thoughts.
Relieve Tension & Fatigue Blend Recipe (Foot Soak)
- Eucalyptus essential oil: 1 drop
- Sweet Orange essential oil: 2 drops
- Cinnamon essential oil: 2 drops
- Basin with warm water
